GOOD TO KNOW

A little clarity.

Straight answers about finding inspiration here and taking it into your own life.

Found a direction you like? Explore hairstyle and color ideas on your own portrait in the Hair Muse app.

Is HairSparks connected to Hair Muse?

Yes. HairSparks is published by the company behind Hair Muse. App links are promotional, and the editorial approach is explained in our publishing policy.

How does the look finder choose results?

It compares your selected length, texture and mood with the editorial tags on our look collection. It prioritizes length, then texture and mood, and explains when there is no exact match. It does not analyze your face or infer personal characteristics.

Where are my saved looks and notes stored?

They stay in local storage in this browser. They are not uploaded, shared or synchronized to another device. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them. Download your brief if you want a separate copy.

Can I use HairSparks without JavaScript?

Yes. All looks, articles, mood collections, occasion pages and app information are readable without JavaScript. Filtering, the finder and the saved moodboard need JavaScript.

CHOOSE THE ANSWER THAT FITS

From inspiration to the practical details.

HairSparks combines editorial reading with a few simple planning tools. Hair Muse is a separate app. The questions below explain the boundaries between them and help you find the next step without needing to guess what a button or saved reference will do.

01 / THE DETAILS

Finding your direction.

When every look appeals

Choose one practical question before browsing again. Decide whether you want a different outline, a new color relationship or a styling adjustment for a particular occasion. A focused question makes the collection easier to use.

When the exact reference is missing

Borrow a visible quality from a related look and describe your own adaptation. The seven portraits are editorial starting points, not a limit on the ideas you can explore.

When the outfit changes the answer

Use the occasion and style-detail guides to consider the whole composition. A collar, earring or scarf can explain why the same hairstyle feels different in another setting.

When you want a personal image

Read the try-on guidance, then use the official app link if the visual experiment would help. The website itself does not upload a selfie or generate a portrait.

02 / THE DETAILS

Keeping a useful record.

You can save a look or an article by using its heart button. Both appear in the moodboard, where a note gives the references a purpose. Explain what you like and what you want to keep practical. The site saves those selections in the browser you are using rather than in a cloud account.

Download a brief when you want a separate copy, or use the print option for a paper or PDF version through your browser. Clearing the board removes the saved state from this website; it does not remove a file you have already downloaded. If storage is unavailable, the site explains the limitation rather than promising persistence.

03 / THE DETAILS

Understanding what an image can tell you.

Portraits help you notice details; personal AI previews help you imagine a change around your own face. Keep the visual preference and the practical assessment as two parts of the decision.

If a result looks appealing, name the specific feature before taking the next step. A useful preview should make your question clearer, even when the conclusion is that you prefer your current direction.

Keep the question that remains unresolved in your brief. It can become the most useful part of a professional consultation, because it shows exactly where the visual experiment ends and the practical assessment needs to begin.

A LITTLE CLARITY

More questions about using the collection.

Are the written styling suggestions universal rules?

No. Outfit pairings, moods and visual interpretations are editorial suggestions. They give you ways to think about a choice, and you can adapt or reject them. Factual background is supported by sources where it is relevant.

Can I use a saved brief on another device?

The browser board does not automatically synchronize. Download a separate brief if you want to keep the written information outside the current browser. The exported file is not an app account or a cloud backup.

Can I browse without choosing a mood?

Yes. Use the full look collection, journal search or occasion pages. Moods are an optional way into the content, not a required profile or a label assigned to you.

Will HairSparks tell me which service to book?

The site helps you describe the direction and prepare questions. A stylist or colorist can assess the actual hair and discuss a suitable service. Do not treat a reference image as a technical booking specification.

Where should I report a broken link or unclear passage?

Use the contact page and identify the page title, the relevant section and what appears to be wrong. You do not need to send a selfie or private account information to report an editorial issue.

Which Hair Muse direction should I start with when I have several ideas?

Start with the detail you notice first in your saved references. Choose haircut try-on when you are comparing a bob, a lob or a longer outline. Explore bangs when the main difference is an open forehead, parted curtain pieces or a fuller fringe. Choose hair color when the shape already feels right and you keep returning to warmer, deeper or brighter shades. Use the same familiar photo to explore that first question, and keep a short note explaining which direction you prefer before moving to another detail.
